Bharatverse was born on the 5th anniversary of A Royal Legacy, Sanaya Kashalkar's debut book, which she published at 17.

The Journey
Follow the gold thread — the story of how an eighth grader's private "Mughal Diaries" became A Royal Legacy.
Sanaya first gets the idea of writing a book in the 8th grade — with no plans of publishing, writing purely for her own pleasure. She fills three notebooks, the three volumes of her "Mughal Diaries."
Many of Sanaya's acquaintances read the Mughal Diaries — their first contact with her historical writings.
Encouraged by her parents, she reworks the diaries into a comprehensive work of non-fiction — digging primary and secondary sources, redesigning chapters and polishing content, all while balancing her 12th-grade studies.
A Royal Legacy is officially published — Sanaya is 17. The online launch is attended by hundreds of people across countries and time zones.
Among the top 5 new releases in India and the world on Amazon in its first week. Formally presented to Dr. Arvind Jamkhedkar, then Chairperson of the ICHR, and to Mr. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar, former Mayor of Mumbai.
